Mike, this is a great image for a start. It had intrigue, nature, spaces. There is a lot that can be done with this image in the way of tonality, subtle changes of shading, etc. This definitely has potential.

Thank you Bob! I'm limited in PP skills, but a quick learner, so I am open to any suggestions you might offer!

Mike, I'll work on some things for you over the next couple of days.

Mike, some burning and dodging. That brought out a good bit of detail, especially near the setting sun.

I like this version, but IMHO I think I'd prefer a blend of this version with the sunset a little closer to the original sunset (enhanced a bit, but not quite as much). I enjoy seeing the variations possible within PP (I am in early stages of learning PP).

I thought I'd try some of the suggestions I made. The HSL tool can do a lot to correct wayward localised tints (in this case red and orange). I also added an overall sunset tint using the Split Toning tool.

There was a persistent magenta tint in the bright part of the sky that defied my attempts to normalise it, but perhaps it wasn't so far from what you saw....

Thanks for your efforts! There was a lot of smoke in the atmosphere from wildfires, both in GNP and Yellowstone along with some in Utah. I think that changed the light at sunset quite a bit.
