My Sony A6000 is taking 3 shots each time I shoot. What have I done to cause this? They are 3 different levels of brightness. I really only want one to review. Help with settings appreciated.

Right. See:
https://www.techkoalas.com/how-to-set-up-auto-exposure-bracketing-on-sony-alpha-a6000/

this shows you how to implement it and undo it.

Cheers

Too much to learn. So far I'm having a blast experimenting. On a week at Myrtle Beach and just shooting. Maybe I'll get something to post. Got to get to understand this camera for a cruise in October to Canada. I'll just keep practicing

Again, thanks.

If you don't have it inadvertently set for bracketing, you may have somehow put it into HDR auto mode. You should be able to access this with your Fn button. Then you can turn it off.

The same thing once happened with my A6000, and it was bracketing. Somehow, I put it into bracketing mode.

It may also be an inadvertent HDR setting. This sometimes happens to me when I hit the HDR button by mistake, I have an Olympus.

Yes, I think the a6000 has gremlins that turn various options on and off. I have never before owned a camera that changes settings on its own but I’m convinced that the Sony does. Certainly does help you learn the arcane menu system.

It sounds like you may have choosen the multi-image auto ISO setting.
