My comment was only about the image you posted--and the breast. I knew nothing about your "photographic intentions".
Having read you subsequent explanation, I wish you well, keep shooting--and I hope you post additional images.

Thank you, I wasn’t offended by your initial comments. I appreciate all feedback, but felt I should have stated our intent along with the first image. Will keep working on it.

No worries, I should have prefaced with our intent with the first image.

Brian, my suggestion is regardless of reading your intent or timing of shootings, paying attention to backgrounds, angles of the wall, focusing on the model, etc. will still serve you well. Although you may not wish to take portraits or "posed" photos I am assuming you are also not wishing to just take snapshots and hope all comes out well. Stay at it - a good start idea.

You make some good points about backgrounds and distractions, not to mention some cropping issues that came up in a second set of pictures I posted the other day. The “model” is my significant other, while the intent is to capture “in the moment “ images around our home, I totally get the snapshot and hope things turn out. Thanks for the feedback.

Thank you for the feedback. I probably should have mentioned our intent is to experiment, for own enjoyment, the human body. I have no interest in getting into Portrait photography. My subject is my partner and the goal is to work on discrete images taken in our home in daily life. The first post was of her while we were getting ready to go out. She’s not and neither am I, looking to do “posed” shots. There are plenty of people that have the tools to a much better job than I. And, because she has her own business, full on unaltered images are not part of what we’d do. If I had an intent it would be to leave a little to the imagination of the viewer. We’re just having fun and would be interested in feedback of what works and what does not. Thanks!
Thank you for the feedback. I probably should have... (show quote)

It works for me. I like it. That is a beautiful capture of the female body.

A bit of post processing would help … like remove the blemish on the side of her breast .. its not attractive and pulls your eye to it. The slanted doorway doesn't help. Keep experimenting …
