Thoughts on using the Nikon TC-14E III 1.4X Teleconverter

Finally got a chance to get out for a little bit to test out this combo. Went out to the Orlando Wetlands for about an hour or so. Not a lot of activity and it was really hot. I was hoping for more chances to get some birds in flight, as this will most likely be my combo for full scale air shows. That said, I'm pretty pleased with the results. Focus is still pretty fast. Had the camera set on shutter priority with auto ISO.
