I shoot a lot of full scale and remote control aircraft. I also do occasional wildlife. My latest lens is the 200-500mm and I have been really impressed with it. Today I purchased the teleconverter mentioned in the topic. I should receive it tomorrow. Can't wait to test it out with the 200-500mm. This will be attached to my D500. Anyone else using this combo and have any thoughts or photos to share? Below are a few shots I have taken with the 200-500mm.

Cannot advise on the lens combo, but you do good work!
Great set....
For me 2 and 5 take the cake...

Very nice work. I like the B/W Wildcat especially.
Which teleconverter are you getting? There is a big variation in results, in my experience. I'd love to see some comparison shots adjusted for size.

Thanks! The one mentioned in the topic line. Nikon TC-14E III 1.4x.
Nice set of photos. You will find the teleconverter will slow down your focusing and you will lose about 1 step of light. I have the teleconverter and rarely use it on my D750 or D500. Do not even consider a larger teleconverter for what you shoot, as they will not autofocus with the lens you are enjoying. It may just be me, but I have found that teleconverters are best used in situations where your subject is at a stand still and you have time to fine tune your focusing by manually focusing.
Looking good, love the full frame shots....

That's pretty much my story with the D7100, D500 and D850 with the 200-500 and 150-600 G2. If I did not already have it, I would not pursue one.

I did not have great results with that set up, but it will work. so I left my telconverter 1.4 glued to the Nikon 300 f4 and works spectacular.
