Did that, still didn't see any spots. But then I am 75 so guess these old eyes can be excused.

OK, GOT IT. I WAS LOOKING TO HIGH.... Need another shot where that spot on the shot is in a clear place. Shoot the sky or a white sheet of paper.

I have already shot test shots on a white background. No spots.

If you look carefully, there are literally dozens of small elongated spots, both in the clouds and in their reflection in the water. Since I don’t see any in the second shot (although there are less white clouds as a background and the exposture is shorter - 1/40 vs 1/15), i’m going to agree with Linda and chgcanon that it must be debris or insects in the first shot.

I had not noticed that the spots were reflected in the pool. That pretty much eliminates the dust theory. Might have been bugs, although I didn't notice any in the air at the time the shot was taken. Thank you all for the input.

Temporary dust that settled on your lens at that point in time.

Dust on/in a lens never shows up like that.

To put your mind at ease, point the camera at the clear blue sky on a sunny day and shoot it with manual focus with an f/22 aperture, and then check the image on your computer at 100%. To add an extra element of reassurance, add some super-high contrast that will bring up/highlight any artifacts. If you don't see anything, it's not your sensor, but the elements outside your camera, plus your second image doesn't have the spots you mentioned, so it's very unlikely a technical issue.
I frequently notice similar specks in the clouds when I do landscape photography and usually comparing image in question with a subsequent image, I don't see them anymore on the second one or they are in totally different spots, having different shape.
9 times out of 10 it's distant birds.

I was actually thinking that the spots might be birds at quite a distance.

1/15 f11.
Not dust. Reflection on water cannot be verified for sure as the angle is not the same.
Looks like insects that are close more than anything else.
Dust has different artifacts and certainly does not show random motion as these do.

I do not see how you can correct this other than painfully...

A question: What created the circular waves in the water? Some kid near the blue car?

Note that next time you might want to offer the original, not a pre edited version of it, it would help greatly. In the same vein, use the photo analysis forum. This will end in the gallery forum.

The waves were intentionally created by my photo partner just for fun. I also have one with a huge splash crater and a couple without.

I shot some scenery yesterday and after processing I found that a couple of the images have spots on them that look like dust. I don't think dust is the problem, but you can see the spots in the clouds just above the pond..

Shot with 5d mk 4 and 24-105 L II. Breakthrough CP . 1/15 f11 24MM. Processed in PS Raw. There is no dust on the lens or the filter, and after I discovered these spots I set up a white board and shot some test shots at the same settings, and there were no spots. Also checked several other similar scenes that I shot around the same time and in the same area and there are no spots.

#1 shows spots, while #2 does not appear to have the problem. There was no lens change or opening of the camera between these two shots. Any thoughts or suggestions???

Looks like Bugs. Flying critters.
We encounter this often on location shoots, lakeside, etc, at certain times of the year. Very tedious to get them out with Photoshop.

Makes sense, it certainly did not look natural. I suspected a child thought. You might want to post your other with 'splashes'.

Yes, probably flying insects! Or giant flying bacilli - If Escherichia coli were that big we would be in big trouble! (Impossible but they do have that general shape). Sorry, I majored in biology!

Thanks, that certainly 'felt' familiar.
