BTW, I hope you don't mind I post a couple of kinda same photos I also took in your "backyard." To expound, I see your "base" as Wasilla, AK. The following were taken during our trip not too far away from your backyard (Haines, AK). We were trekking through the forest on our way to Davidson Glacier and these "beauties" caught my eye. (I will delete them if you disapprove. Let me know. Thanks.)

My preference right off the bat is the second. The star of the image is the mushroom. I kept looking back and forth between the two images and EVERY time, my eye was drawn to the second image.

I don't mind at all. I always enjoy looking at others' photos of the same thing. Nice work, by the way. Haines is in a beautiful setting, and there are eagles, and bears as well as lots of other stuff to photograph. Or just enjoy looking at them. Glad you liked the 'shroom.
