I agree prices are the same in most places. I have had excellent results buying directly from Nikon. They have really good customer service.

This is my first posting so I hope I don’t violate any rules.

Last night I dropped my Nikon d80 and it is no longer working! I was planning on getting a Nikon D7500 in October so this just pushes me to get it sooner. I found a good deal on Abe’s of Maine and was wondering if anyone has purchased from them.

Thanks.

Three things:
1. Are you ordering a d750 or d7500? The title of your post says d750 but the body of your post says d7500. Both are fine cameras but one is full frame while the other is aps-c.

2. If you are looking at buying the d750 then you may want to consider the Sony a7 iii. I just made the leap from a canon full frame and OMG, I love the Sony. I had a Sony mirrorless once before but ended up saying never again. The new Sony a7iii is an entirely different animal.

3. All you have to do is google Abe’s and you will quickly find out they are no good. Avoid them like the plague.

Stay away from Abe's of Maine, you will get ripped off. Buy from B&H, Adorama, Amazon, and other reputable folks like Allens Camera (my pro favorite from Philadelphia area). Cheers

When you find a cheap price and a battery and charger are extra it means that the item is gray market! It is not warranted by Nikon because it was marketed to another country. I recommend you deal with an authorized Nikon dealer and specify that you don't want a gray market product.

Nikon has a sale on at the moment, go to their site for prices on new and refurbished cameras and lens.

Is the D7500 a typo or did you mean D750? Just curious. You may wish to entertain the thought of a refurbished unit and possibly save some money. As others have mentioned, Abe's of Maine may not be a very good choice.

The email I also received noted a 7500 body for 899 refurbished. FYI.

The Nikon Website currently has refurbished cameras, lenses etc on sale with an extra 10% off. The D7500 body is now $899.99, the DX 55-200mm VR lens is $99.99. Check this out.

Check out Greentoe, you can make an offer on a camera and get a good price. They will list the best price online and you get to submit a bid and see if one of the stores will sell it a little cheaper. They have a scale and goes from red to green telling you the probability of getting the price you put it. You can keep changing your bid to get it or of the red and see if some retailer will sell it. They might counter your offer but it could be better than the best online price. You have the chance to accept or decline that offer.
