This is my first posting so I hope I don’t violate any rules.

Last night I dropped my Nikon d80 and it is no longer working! I was planning on getting a Nikon D7500 in October so this just pushes me to get it sooner. I found a good deal on Abe’s of Maine and was wondering if anyone has purchased from them.

Thanks.

Ooooh! Stay away from Abe's of Maine! The appeal of a low price is the start of a bad experience. All legitimate sellers will have just about the same price. Buy from one of them. I like the 28-300mm lens with my D750.

Adorama, Amazon, B&H, Cameta, Costco, Crutchfield, Hunt's, KEH, Robert's, and probably some others. An authorized dealer will be approved by the manufacturer, so it will be reputable, and the prices will be just about the same from one seller to another.

They do have a deal on the 7500 body only. Give them a call. I spoke to a person and it is just the camera. She said Charger and Battery are extra. I went on ebay and it is still a good deal. I think. My buddy said he used them in the past. Keep in mind Buyer beware. When something is too good to be true it often is. Best of luck to you.

When you find a cheap price and a battery and charger are extra it means that the item is gray market! It is not warranted by Nikon because it was marketed to another country. I recommend you deal with an authorized Nikon dealer and specify that you don't want a gray market product.

Run as fast as you can. Away from this entity and toward another one mentioned above. The charger etc sb standard as part of your purchase.

Search on Abe's of Maine here and you will decide to look elsewhere. Bad company with a history of ripoffs.

The camera will not have a warranty in the US. That's your primary concern.

Agreed Jerry gave a list of great companies to buy from. I buy from Campus Camera here in Kent Ohio and are a great store to buy from. Small family owned business.

The only reason you are considering this is because Abe's is offering a better price than others. You must ask yourself why that is, if your SMART, hopefully you will figure it out before you buy from them.
I would strongly suggest B&H or Adorama. Also, currently Nikon puts that camera on special and includes a 24-120 mm f 4 lens and sometimes throw in a vertical grip for free. Be patient and keep watching for the next sale. You will not be disappointed. In fact, here are two deals from Nikon now at B&H, one for the body and one with the 24-120 lens, if you go with the lens combo deal, you are getting the lens at 1/2 price. Good deal.
