I keep them for later resale.

What are you suppose to do with the boxes that you receive your cameras and lenses in? I am trying to make a decision either recycle or toss them they take up a lot of space. The companies say to keep them but if you have to send a camera or lens for repair they tell you not to send the orginal box. Most companies tell you to keep the box that is almost anything you buy. Lost in a room full of boxes.
I keep all the boxes in a Rubbermaid bin in my closet in case I want to sell something. The bin is full and now I am stacking them on the shelf. Not so much for anything else. I used to keep the boxes for all my scrapbooking stuff; but now I don’t. Other boxes are only kept long enough that I know the item is working and that I intend to keep it.
I plan on selling a bunch of camera stuff, so, my collection of boxes will dwindle!
keep the boxes to increase camera value at resale

I eat them. They are just as good and just as nutritious as the Twinkies. Also, I don't anticipating reselling the Twinkies I eat.

I usually use a standard olive oil, salt, pepper and vinegar marinade. I would be interested in hearing if anyone uses something else, like maybe a mango salsa marinade. Also how many days do you let it soak?

If you don't have much camera equipment, then keeping them is okay. They might add a bit to the resale value, if you plan to sell while the equipment is still worth something.
The reason companies don't want you sending the original box, is that they don't want to have to keep track of it. They only want the item that needs service.
I used to keep boxes. But the boxes sit around taking up space. I had boxes for everything I bought that was worth anything. Big pile, nested sometimes (but the packing material takes up space). Finally, I decided it just wasn't worth it. So I cleared out everything: for computers, TVs, audio (especially speakers), and camera gear. Wow, look at all that space! That I can use for real stuff instead of cardboard and air. Plus, no more fire hazard.
Now, I keep the box while I check out a purchase, in case I have to send it back. Once I've determined I will be keeping it, I toss the boxes.
So, you just have to look at your pile of boxes and decide whether you want to devote that space to them, or would rather not.
