Wildlife, as it sees Canon

Why are we lionizing this event? The camera probably had a small SD card with very pictures and the battery must have been depleted since the lion was able to lift the camera. With a full battery and large populated SD cards, no way was it coming off the ground.

Then again, maybe the lion was worthy.

I often fear my dogs getting my cameras when I am not looking. So far they don't seem to like the taste of Pentax. But they do certainly like the taste of Verizon DVR / TV remotes. They've chewed up two, destroying one. And they've destroyed countless ear-buds and miniature headphones. Dogs like human scent and ear wax!

Oh, the lion photographic encounter reminds me of my former photo teacher's husband Danny Sullivan and his remarkable photo of two "dancing" Lionesses! He might have gladly given them his 5DII for that shot!

At last. The ultimate, definitive selection of Canon over Nikon. Therefore, let us never again indulge in the ad infinitum, ad nauseum, Canon vs. Nikon war. This is the truth. I ain't lion.

Well, that opinion certainly has some tooth to it.

No one has asked how she got these pics considering her camera had been confiscated.

The article that these images came from says she had two cameras, and while the lions demo'd the one in the pic, she used the other one to snap the shots, "not missing a beat".

Yeah, no more biting criticism.

It is indeed a great testimonial. Canon should use these in their advertising campaign.

I'm usually annoyed when people post photos like this in the discussion section but I LOVED this photo and thanks so much for sharing. It is truly a treasure. I would love to have the teeth marks on my lens!

One question, how did you get those shots, since the lion was looking to make some memories her own? Did she manage to get the cubs to pose for her?

That 70-200 is build like a tank and this proves it. I would keep the lens just as is as long as it functional; stories galore.
