That's why I bring mine inside... the birds like to pick them off and when they first hatch, spiders will get them. I hope I can find another mature plant so the little ones have leaves to munch... I planted seeds last year, but they are very small and only about 3" tall, but if push comes to shove, they will eat them and I'm not taking any more in... this was very overwhelming this year, but I will be passing my 23 I released last year! But I feeled so honored to be able to help these beautiful creatures!!

Angela, again fantastic photos. I realize the survival rate is above the natural rate by a large percent but nature will still work for the new ones.

Thanks Sylvia... I just bought and planted 3 more plants and planted them in this heat...ugh.... so there should be enough for all of them and I've decided that next year, I will limit my self to 10... this was too much work and I had some casualties which upset me. So I will be happy to see them all fluttering around the garden!!
