A while ago I posted a picture of a little Canon knob under the topic "What is this part?" I don't find the topic on UHH anymore.
Someone identified it as a replacement knob for a tilt/shift lens. I offered it to anyone who wanted it, for cost of postage.
Someone asked me for it. I sent it. You have not reimbursed me for the postage. Shame on you!
If you are that person, you owe me $3.50. Be a nice photo buddy and show yourself.

You have only been here for about 7 weeks with less than 100 posts. You can easily go through your posts and ID the person that way. Posting stuff like this on the open forum is totally unnecessary and pointless. Deal with the guy (gal) directly. Chastising "someone" like this will get you nowhere and to be quite honest, makes YOU look a bit childish at best.

Quite possibly another section could have been used or another method, but the OP most certainly has right to share his experience on the forum. I really don't believe the money was an issue. Maybe someone else will be careful in their dealing, no matter the value of the item.

I don't blame the OP. He opened up and trusted someone and got burned. It's not about the value, it's about honor and integrity. A quality this country seems to be lacking right now, and a personal shaming just might be in order.

Thanks for the tip. I looked, but there's no post asking me for the part. I guess it was a private message, which I no longer have. So I don't KNOW who it was.

To those who flamed me for starting this topic, it looks like you are outvoted by the folks who thought it was perfectly reasonable and legit.
Questioning my "qualifications" to post on UHH because of length of membership and number of posts or topics started seems pretty lame.
I'm glad there are NICE guys/gals on UHH.

Thank you to Dr.Nikon who offered me $5.00 because of the entertainment value! Not necessary.

You can all let this go. I'm not hurting for the $3.50, as one of you implied. If a situation like this should happen again, I'll ask for the postage BEFORE I send anything.

Did you look in both places in your messages; Inbox and Sent? Sometimes people forget there are 2 folders.
