I'm having all kinds of difficulty with it. Primarily I can't get the workspace to display the selected file. Asked for tech support help four days ago. So far, crickets.

I have been learning and using ON1 since 11/16. The training videos available are much better now if you pay the higher fee and become a plus member. Training videos now will focus on a subject and provide multiple segments on the same topic which is beneficial to learning. Getting questions answered however can be time consuming and frustrating even with being a Plus member. Sometimes your question is not answered. Recently the cropping feature has a mind of its own. I crop to the point I like, export to a JPEG which resizes from RAW, and the cropped JPEG has cropped itself further (right through a person). The perfect eraser sometimes works and sometimes does nothing at all since the recent upgrade. Going from Browse to Develop sometimes the image changes color (WHY??). Speed has definitely slowed in some circumstances since a 2017 upgrade for me. The speed I can live with, the changing of my image I can't live with. A problem is the communication between ON1 and customers. A heads up of issues being worked on e.g. cropping, color change, perfect eraser, speed... would be professional. All software upgrades have bugs and issues, just communicate that to your customer; don't ignore the facts as if they will go away. Do I like what I have learned and can do with ON1editing - absolutely. Have I gone past the point of being in the dark (is it me/is it the software) - absolutely. I'm using the iMac 21.5" 2015 edition.

I just want to get some feedback from ON1 users regarding ON1 2018.5, the latest upgrade to ON1 2018.1. I have tried the trial version of the 2018.1 and I really like it. I wanted to upgrade to the latest 2018.5 version but I read from DPreview that there seems to be a lot of bugs with this latest version, one being very slow especially with previewing a photo on Browser and Develop. Any feedback from On1 users will be greatly appreciated. Have you found ON1 2018.5 to be buggy as well? I'm using a Mac.

I use a Mac and have absolutely no issues with ONE1 2018.5. Many of the features in ONE1 are superior to Lightroom. I add my raw photos into Lightroom, as a file manager, and my photos automatically migrate to ONE1 and then I process my photos further using ONE1.

I purchased ON1 and occasionally experience a freeze or crash, or lack of a lens profile. Regardless, I'm still pretty much satisfied with it. That said, ON1 constantly pesters you to join their ON1 Plus program for $50 - $150 a year, which buys additional training, plugins, textures, etc. The jury is still out on whether I'll commit long term.

Forgot to mention, I have had problems with loading wide angle raw images for which the software has not camera/lens profile. Here's an example from a Canon SX60. I had grabbed the camera to shoot pictures of a hot air balloon that had drifted close to the neighborhood and decided to take a quick wide angle shot (21mm equiv) of our house. When I selected the file in BROWSE, it looked normal. Then onto to the DEVELOP module and this is what I saw. The outline is the lens hood. Yes, that's lens flare in the upper right corner. I loaded the same file in LR 5.7 and PSE 14 and didn't see the hood. ON1 blamed it on the lack of a profile for the camera. Neither LR or PSE had profiles either.

I am running ON1 Photo RAW 2018.5 on Windows 8.1 and haven't had any problems with it.

I believe the only program that I have found, that has a profile for the Canon SX50 and Canon SX60, has been Dxo PhotoLab. I am not sure whether or not previous versions of DxO Optics Pro also had the profiles for the Canon SX50 & Canon SX60. I may have found one or two other programs with profiles for them but I'm not sure about that.

Like many here answering you, I have not had a problem with it either. I use the 64 bit version on a Dell workstation. My only complaint is that they do not have a lens profile for the Tamron 18-400. They did however ask if I would be interested in sending some of the photos I have taken with the lens to aid them in creating a profile. I have not decided whether to do that or not yet.

Usually, if I assign a profile, I use the Canon 55-210 (?) STM lens and get a decent correction. LR 5.7 usually applies it as soon as I select Canon from the maker drop down menu. ON1 tech support said they would incorporate both the SX50 & SX60. In the past, to add a lens profile to ON1, they wanted images. Not so, this time.

Yeah, do it! They are reasonably good at adding profiles. It's done from here: https://on1help.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000293571

I have no problems with it on my 2 year old PC. I'm running an Intel Core i7-6700 3.4GHz Processor, Samsung 950-Pro 512GB SSD for my C:, 64GB Ram, Geforce GTX 1060 Video Card with 6GB DDR5 RAM, 2 4TB HDD for storage, Gigabyte Z170X UD5 processor. Nothing buggy or slow with it at all.
