It's not my intent to be a salesman but I've been using a FastFire Strap for several years. It's a cross body strap that is always ready. I have worn it for a month in Europe, a month in Turkey and a month in New Zealand all day every day. That includes some semi serious hiking. http://fastfirecamerastrap.com/

The FastFire website says they are no longer in business. Guess if one wants one perhaps the used market will have them.

I have travelled all over the world including places where pick pockets are quite adept at removing lenses from camera bodies with the quick release buttons. A quick bump and they are gone with your lease before you realize it. It is suggested that you always carry the camera if on at your side that the lease is facing toward your body so access to the quick release button is more e difficult.
