Very nice, Graham. I love the way you used the lighting, your processing skills and surroundings to feature the subjects in this photo.

I love this! This to me is how well B&W can be - the lighting and contrast are well done - making you want to look at every aspect of the photo. I even like the focus being sharper on the railing, it puts everything into perspective.

Very nice. I like to see the eye contact. Im a big fan of Vivian Maier's work.

Could be any place, you captured men transfixed; a study in character by expressive faces.

What Bob said, and I really like the capture of the intense looks on their faces. These men are obviously there to potentially buy.

Fine communication. Wonder why you left in the sign above the railing/man's head.

As Judy alluded to in another post "Frosted Road" I don't tidy up pictures. The reason for this is my love for street photography. To me verity is a fundamental of street photography, if it's in the frame it stays in the frame

For purposes of instruction and interest in how others perceive elements, would you talk about why you think it should have been removed, Bob? Or perhaps I'm just inferring that you'd prefer it gone because of the way you worded the question. In which case, I'll go back to my corner now

First of all this is one of the best images I've looked at in a while; I would recommend everyone to download to get the full effect of the eyes and the expressions on the faces.

That being said the sign is clearly in the background (its slightly out of focus) and serves to lighten up the photo and to frame the heads of the left most three men. So I believe it should stay in the image.
