Sue, just a suggestion to sell your cards. Target your customers. Works for me. I sell greeting cards to horse people. Some have photos of horses on them, some have my (paint and brush) artwork. I sell to people in all 50 states and 5 other countries. They love having a painting of their horse on their cards. I have been doing this for over 55 years and about to retire for the 5th time. Love the dog shot...target dog and cat lovers. Be ready for some long work hours EVERY day!

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm curious - how do you reach those horse people? Do you have a website?

One thought I had to start is to expand my volunteer photography for the German Shepherd Rescue of New England to take portraits of people and their dogs, then sell them to raise funds for the rescue organization. It would get me out there and help a good cause.

All different breeds of dogs would work for cards very well. The first year I did my horse cards, I advertised in ONE horse magazine, ONE time, in October and got so many orders, I had to order cards from the printers over and over to fill the orders...thousands of cards. Once the people sent the cards to their friends, their friends started ordering and I had all I could do of those for the next 20 years. I did the printing myself after the first 2 years and had a lady who assisted me when I did wall murals to help me with cards. I only do cards for a few customers now. I am selling art prints and photo prints on line now...NOT printing them myself. Much easier. Here are a few of my cards. https://www.facebook.com/jo.brundige/media_set?set=a.2419709548868&type=3

Thanks Jo! Your Christmas cards are lovely! I like the way you use graphics with the photos. Inspiring.
