Hi, I learned about this forum from my Dad, who rarely posted but read threads every day. I am an anthropologist who works in Thailand. I use photography in my research and teaching, having amassed a large collection of photos from Asia. I also experiment, photographing my garden a lot. The German Shepherd Rescue of New England asked me to be a volunteer photographer, so I learned how to photograph dogs. (Below is my late dog, Rikka, my favorite subject for years.) Finally, I am the unofficial photographer for the family, including doing two weddings for nieces and nephews. In other words, I don't have a specialty, but love to learn, experiment, and push my photography. I would love to learn more about getting my photographs out into the world, including how to sell the note cards I make.

Unless you have some truly unique, etc. photos, getting set up and selling is not easy. Everyone with a camera, especially digital, is in the market. Super saturated! Not trying to say not to do it, but to warn you how much of an uphill battle.
Good luck.
Welcome. That's a really great dog photo. This site has been a wonderful place to learn.
Welcome to the forum. Thanks for sharing a photo.
Excellent photo of a great looking dog.
Welcome to the forum. Love picture of your puppy. The loss is hard.

Yes, I realize this! I don't care about making money through it, but would like to share more of my photos. And get better - probably first is a forum like this where I can continue learning and occasionally share. Thanks for the warning.

If someone wants a photo these days what do they do? They GOOGLE it and see what pops up. So, if you want the best chance for people to see your photos, AND don't care that they will be copied, you put on a photo website and put very descriptive titles with each photo. Google will pick it up and voila, you're an Internet hit...., or not.
Welcome to the forum.
