Interesting. I didn't know that. Might have gone to B&H for my D500 and 24-120 had I known.
Signs are posted everywhere, and hopefully on their website. But that has been his policy as long as I have known, like 20 years. Iwas in there not too long ago for some Eclipse. Same story, that will never change.
Are we talking about ACE Photo in Ashburn? I just looked at their Website and it says "We have a maximum return policy of 30 days (from date received)". It does say sales are final on consumables and "Digital Cameras, Lenses and Flashes will be replaced within 14 days of purchase if the unit is Dead on Arrival or defective. After 14 days, the unit must go back to the manufacturer for repair under the Manufacturer Warranty."
So returns are possible.
I was just there, and it's been posted instore that that is their policy. It was printed on all my receipts, including a $2500 PRINTER, WHICH I FAILED TO NOTICE. SO, I CAN ONLY ASSUME THEY HAVE ADJUSTED THEIR INTERNET POLICY, BUT IF YOU WILL NOTICE, THEY RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE TO TAKE IT BACK IF IT'S EVEN BEEN OPENED. THAT'S ALL I HAVE TO SAY. BUYER BEWARE, sorry, caps lock not intended, not taking the time to retype. Figure it out.

along the same vein, was thinking for quite a while now to take a ( day ? ) trip to NYC to go to B&H; probably can find a lot of little stuff i don't need; wha say you ?
A trip to B&H is a GAS-victim's grand fantasy. For now I'll settle for Hunt's in Manchester NH. A lot smaller but at least you can touch the stuff.
Thanks to all for inputs. Return policy is obviously something that I need to understand wherever I shop as both are authorized Nikon dealers.
I want a local store where I can talk to knowledgeable salespersons and trust. If I cannot find that, then I will go online.
And -- have a good trip!
