I've got a few deals that I'm looking at in the "upcoming" section, on both the photo equipment and camera sections. Some good deals on batteries and on various computer bits and bobs. Hard to keep track of while being rather busy at work. I've added a few upcoming items to my "watch" list.
There's a Godox Ving V860IIS 2.4G GN60 going on at about 6:30 PM EDT.
Anyone else notice anything that catches their eyes?

NO. I watch the Nikon and Sony web sites for deals they offer several times a year. I am not really interested in bobs and bits. I find most of that kind of things are just that. But, to each his own, if you find that interesting and fun, by all means carry on.
Amazon remains an excellent source for used camera gear, however, Amazon is getting a little wonky lately. Twice, after purchasing items from Amazon they requested I complete surveys on my experience. I responded with above average grades only to have Amazon inform me that my survey responses did not meet their standards. Back and forth with emails trying to figure out what was the problem. Finally sent a message back informing them not to send any surveys to me in the future. I'll take my surveys to the web in the future.
I got two Fire TV sticks with voice remote. I then returned the one I had just bought recently. They were reduced to $20 and had been $40. So, it's like I now have two for the price of one...
For those of us near a Whole Foods, Prime gives great sales and 5% off everything. Also use the Amazon Fire box to supplement the antenna of my 50" TV. Free shipping. Buying items that, thanks to Amazon, there is no longer a local store that carries.
But yes. Restraint! No sense in buying stuff just because there is a sale.
Currently offering the Adobe Lightroom + Photoshop + 20 GB storage package at $119 annual, then 20% off at checkout.
As far as I can tell, the stuff I want is not on sale, and the stuff that is on sale, I don't want.
I could spend some time digging into the "deals", to save a few bucks, or I could save a few hours by not.
Amazon sells junk and they also sell top of the line merchandise. If you buy junk you can certainly expect to have issues.
As for not adjusting prices after purchase, they discontinued that a number of years ago. Their prices sometimes fluctuate hourly. Best to be happy with the price you buy something at and don't look back. If you look back you may become unhappy.
I use an Amazon Prime sponsored credit card that has a 5% rewards feature on Amazon purchases. I always take it in cash instead of merchandise. If you use $500 in points to buy something for $500 you break even. If you take the cash and use it after buying that same $500 item on the credit card, you get another $25 in rewards.

For several years now Amazon has been the first place that I consider shopping for most personal property items (other than food and the like) that I wish to buy. For day-to-day purchases in the near future, that will probably remain so. However, it appears to me to me that "Prime Day" is the on-line equivalent of all the fluff and non-sense of "Black Friday" at Wal-Mart and other big brick-and-mortar establishments.
My wife shops for stuff for the grandkids. Me, only if I'm looking for something specific...

Andy, I was a loyal Amazon Prime member for several years. I recently became disenchanted with the variable (up and down) quality of some of the merchandise they were selling. Found myself returning small things more frequently - they did issue appropriate credits - but returning small items is just as much of a hassle as if I bought a Saturn rocket. Never found much use or value for many of the Amazon Prime member benefits. Finely, after ordering an item on which shortly thereafter Amazon reduced the price and refused to adjust what I paid (and believe it or not, I did ask politely), decided it was time to leave. In my experience, very few retail relationships last forever these days. /Ralph

Most of the time now for items $25 and less they refund your money and tell you to keep the item or chuck it.
So far I've saved hundreds of dollars. I haven't bought a single thing. LOL
Nope, I have not seen anything that I can't live without. But if they had a smoking deal on a GoPro Hero 5 I might pull the trigger. Or possibly a good deal on a Cobb Grill (Cooker) I might buy it.
