I have an Acer a500. I use it daily and I like it a lot. For me it is exceptional for communication which includes displaying up to 32Gb of information including photos to share with family, friends, and perspective clients.
It has changed my hobby, but only a little as a matter of conveniencedue for size, portability, etc. I do not use it for editing. Hope this answers your questions.

Flipping the pages of photo mags and there seems to be some buzz about Tablets (I Pads and such) being a great tool for photographers. So I have to ask, do you have one if so, what? Do you love it? Pros of having one? Has it changed your hobbie? I'm not looking to hear about the features of yours or why I should get one, but rather how has it added to you as a photographer and if feel well needed tool added to your camera bag.? Thanks in advance.

I love my I-Pad, my picture albums are beautiful......only I cannot share my photos on Ugly Hedgehog. They are not compatible. I have the Ipafd 2 with 32mb

Yes you can! Download the iCab Mobile web browser application from the app store for a few bucks, access the Ugly Hedgehog website through iCab Mobile and you will then find that the buttons to upload photo files will no longer be "grayed" out and you can post pix to the hog!

Thanks for info about iCab. That was the one thing I couldn't figure out was how to upload to the hog. I use my iPad all the time whether in town or traveling. With the camera kit you can hook up your sd cards or usb. I find that with Dropbox and Logmein (gives me access to anything on my computer). I always have enough room for anything. I have a 64 gb iPad2 3g. That makes it useful riding down the road or places that don't have wifi. I couldn't do without it. I'm not a professional photographer either but I always have my camera or phone and when all else fails, the iPad has a camera (a stinky one, but camera never the less). It looks funny though. I took some pics with it at Muir woods. Does pretty good outside but inside, ugh!   Also, have a bluetooth keyboard. Recently got an app Photosync and photo pal. They work right along with the photo portion also. It's a good way to take photo books without having to physically add one to the suitcases. Couldn't live without it.

I'm a Mac user and a working pro photographer. Everything I do is done on a Mac/ Apple of some kind. I use my iPad as a portfolio and my iPad has a great SmugMug app which is my choice for web hosting. My iPad also has a great photo app that come with it and through iCloud my photos are sinked Up with my Mac. Last... My photos look fabulous and crystal clear on the iPad. I LOVE my Mac's & iPad.
