Fossil Insect

Went to visit Florissant Fossil Beds in Colorado a few years back. Just before you get into the park there is a site where one can pay to dig for fossils. I had a nice time and found this insect. Age is Eocene 34 to 56 million years old. Photo is currently submitted to Bug Guide to see if anyone can determine what insect this may be.

I agree, great shot. But, it sure looks like a mosquito I met in Maine! :-D
