I agree about Tony Northrup. I bought his Stunning Digital Photography e-book and have greatly benefited from it. There are many hours of videos that show what he is teaching in each chapter. They have many other videos and are live on Thursday's at 5pm EST.

I got a D3400 this past December and am very happy with it. I am starting over after a 30 year absence from photography other than point-and-shoot. It is a great starter camera.

This YouTube guy has a lot of good photography introducing videos that are very clear.
And, several of those are done With a D3400.
