Sorry to hear of your loss, I still use my old AI 55mm micro...with bellows. great lens.

The D5100. I'm not real big on AF...but the VR...now that's worth its weight...lol

I agree - of all the numbers on Nikon lens, the VR is definitely one to pay attention to.
