I always try not to be in the reflections. Although I have done a series of selfies in reflections. Usually car windows or store doors or windows. I'll have to dig them out and post some.
And yes, photo ops are everywhere. All you need to do is look around. Creativity is a must though. If you can't find anything to photograph you should not have a camera.
I find tons of things to photograph and typically take hundreds of photos every day. I usually have 2-3 projects going at once. My camera is like the AmEX card, never leave home without it. I have burnt out 2-3 digital cameras because I took too many photos. After a while they take black photos for some reason.
