By that reasoning, it should also be time to get rid of film cameras, records, and manual transmissions in cars. Nonetheless there are still those who prefer the slow deliberate process of taking and/or developing images from 35mm kodak film. There are also some music lovers who enjoy taking a record out and plopping it on a turntable. A few, even enjoy the "snap, crackle, and pops" that develop in a well worn record. As for manual transmissions, some drivers still enjoy the tactile and mechanical feel of a proper three pedal car. And some parents of teenage drivers buy them to force the youngster to stay off the texting while driving. As for beauty pageants, they may have lost some of their relevance, but as long as there are those who wish to compete in them, promote them, advertise in them or view them, they still have their place

Well said. These contestants might not be the most gorgeous, smartest, or most talented ladies in the world, but I would take any one of them over a gorgeous bimbo with an I.Q. of 90, or a 190 pound physics professor with an IQ to match her weight.

With all that is happening these days and the way the public seems to be being manipulated, one has to wonder if this is not just another ploy to remove some good old American traditions. They want to take away our guns so the people cannot protect themselves from an over intrusive government, taken away our rights to determine our own healthcare, removed the statues of prominent men, want to remove the love of the country by kneeling to the National Anthem, and then we have the BSA or Scouts. Look at what is happening with transgender situation in the high schools.
Poor women's athletics. My wife says is this just a ploy to get it to where transgender people can aspire to win the crown? Heaven forbid. Maybe not but as it now stands it could never happen. I know some will argue that they have good reason in all of those cases. America became the greatest country in the world by being competitive and now there are those that want to take all of that away. If you have the best and you want change what do you get?
