The more shots I see with the regular Tamron and the Sigma C, the more I think it's a better lens than given credit for.

6. f/7.1, 1/1250, ISO 250
I shot on manual setting, auto focus with VR, and auto ISO.

Wow! I've seen a lot of egret photos and shot a few of my own. But I haven't seen anything like the first two images you have posted here. The first one with the feathers all splayed out like that is incredible. The light on the second one is beautiful. Congrats on a successful outing. I also like the others but being a fan of egrets and appreciating how hard it is to shoot white birds without blowing out the highlights, I really like these.
