I’m not sure why I never smoked, maybe it was the smell? One day a school teacher told us to bring a clean white handkerchief to our smoking parents and they should take a big puff and blow the smoke into the hankie. Well the hankie had a brown stain after one puff. The teacher told us to tell our smoker parents that brown stain goes on their lungs after each puff. My dad was not happy.

Even a better hankie test:
- take a puff into mouth only, blow out through hankie
- take another puff, inhale, blow out through hankie

A lot of folks get upset when the topic morphs. Sometimes it is great to go random thoughts; it shows how some people's minds work.

I *still* have a shaver like that- with the 1-10 dial- because I can't cut a nice line with the new ones.
I could go to the drugstore, buy cigs, codeine and fireworks over the counter. Buy condoms- and your mother would know you had them before your girl did.
Us guys went fishing one day, so- so did mom. We got back to a minor firestorm. It seems that my dad, my brother and I all had a small collection of naughty pictures- including the same exact 5 shots of Betty Paige. We "boys" thought that was waay more funny than she did.
BTW, I *still* have the Kodak Autographic from then. I have minor pretensions to making a 6x7 mask.

My first boy-girl "date" to local movies I got nerve to put my arm around the girl. A friend saw, got home & told her mom. Mine knew before I could walk home the 5 blocks. Those were the days!
