I believe I will go often as well Dick. After viewing and PP my images, many have given me some ideas on different composition and taking my tri-pod, shooting bracketed and processing in Photomax Pro HDR. Hmmm...😊 Thanks for looking.

Thanks, wish I could, now 80 and can't do much traveling anymore. I helped the museum back when they got the Rotary, that was my main interest; my FIL was born in Tabernash and he fired on the Moffat back in the 30s. I spent a lot of time up on Rollins Pass in the 60s and we lived at Thomasville on the Midland on the Frying Pan River, still have an old switch I pulled out of a beaver pond at old Sellar siding where the (bee-hives) coke ovens are. You should take a trip up the Frying Pan River sometime, lots of railroad history up there! My folk's cabin exploded into matchsticks in the 80s there at T'ville, last time I was there it still was!! The railroad ran thru the front yard and still in cinders, I still have some mementos which were picked up in the yard.
P.S., I lived in Conifer the last few years I lived in Colo.
Regards, Dick

Aw, sorry to hear that Dick but I'm not too far behind you at 72 with mobility issues. All my photography is done from a car window, walker or my Pride electric scooter. Can't walk too good, but it is what it is. This getting old ain't for the faint of heart. Thank goodness many places are handicapped friendly.

Your history and memories were wonderful. That was a different time back in those days.

I drove truck for Safeway for 20 years, and hauled the first load into that new store in Conifer back in the 80's. Also dated a gal from there after my divorce. Know Conifer well!

Take care; Michael

We did all our shopping there at the Safeway, we lived on Silver Ranch Road, down about 6 miles on Pleasant Park road (the one that goes up the hill across Hwy 285.)
Sorry your stove up too.

The former West Side Lumber Shays are owned by Lindsey Ashby I believe and formerly ran on the Georgetown Loop railroad when he ran that operation for the state of Colorado. I rode behind one of them in 1998...

Very nice series!!
I was told the 2 Shays are runable(?).
Will need to be re-certified, first. And there, is the money issue....
