I had to put up with wind and was trying different settings on the Helicon FB Tube. Also trying to use the new wired multi function remote shutter release. I got that figured out after I came back inside - seems there are two shutter buttons on it, one for the set # of frames* you put in and one that just keeps shooting until you release it - that one has a lock. Had nearly 600 frames by the time I was done and less than 50 after I deleted the rejects and shots of nothing I took learning the remote shutter.
*that one is labeled "start" and also starts the time lapse and shutter delay functions.
5 shot stack, there were 2 others of the interior that came out too dark to be useful so I deleted them and 3 of the foreground that wind movement ruined so I deleted them and cropped in closer.

Great capture with your technology
Beautiful!
Are you using the Helicon Pro with computer tethered to do the stacking?

No, Helicon FB Tube on my 5DIV with a Canon 100 macro (older version, no IS). This shot was with tripod, I think, I kept putting it on and taking it off to get different angles. It was a 10 shot burst, but the three of the foreground were useless because of wind movement and the two of the far back of the interior of the flower were blurred by movement and too dark. So I used the 5 good frames and cropped to get rid of the stuff around it, I also corrected to make the beard of the Iris and the lines inside vertical. The stem of the flower showing on the left is the real vertical.
I used LR>PS>Lr for the stacking and PP.
Duh! Well whatever you did, you did it right, Jerry. Beautiful results!

thank you very much
Looks like I wait a few more days for any purple Iris. Something ate a hole in the side of the bud and it is turning black and shriveling up.

Nice job robertjer, that insect had a lot of nerve to chew on your buds!

Just excellent! Have you tried using a Plamp to hold the flowers more still in the wind? I recently purchased one but have only had a chance to use it once so far.
