Will be on a cruise from London to Iceland with stops in Wales, Ireland and Scotland. Iceland will be new for me and we have 4 stoops there. Due to many factors, I will take minimal gear. I have a choice of my 24-70 or my 70-200. If you had to choose, which would you think most important for the Iceland portion of the trip?

Do You have a "Crop Sensor" or "Full Frame" DSLR?
I would say, in my opinion, the 24-70 with the wider fixed aperture needed for probably most of your images.

I would take a SonyRX10IV. But you are not going to do it and make a mistake.

I've been to Iceland four times and during the summer months there is extended daylight, take your 24-70. chase

I been to Iceland I would take both lenses. But if you can only take one then I would suggest the 24 - 70.

Pointless leaving behind tools you can or want to use.

I was just in Iceland and I used my 24-105mm f/4 90% of the time on my camera. And switching out to my 16-35mm f/2.8, especially when searching for the Northern Lights. My husband used a Tamron 28-300 mm f4-5.6 exclusively on his 5d3 and had great pictures. You are going to want some zoom... not sure the 24-70mm will give you everything you want especially at waterfalls and such... but you definitely need the wide angle, so if a new lens isn't in your plan, I'd probably go with the 24-70 mm and you can crop in when needed.
