I have a Nikon P900 which I really enjoy. The one drawback is it’s inability to shoot raw. Can anyone suggest another point and shoot camera with super telephoto (P900 is 83x optical zoom) that shoots raw?
Thank you.

The Nikon B700 Bridge camera shoots Raw and has a 60X zoom (24mm-1440mm equivalent).

Also, the Nikon P610 has a 60x optical zoom/120x Dynamic Fine Zoom super telephoto NIKKOR lens. It's not a new camera, but takes great pictures. I've taken some excellent pictures of the moon with it. However, it doesn't shoot RAW.

We had one. Good camera. No raw, though. Read the OP.

You're right. I forgot to mention that! That being said, I haven't missed it when processing pictures taken with this camera, whereas I always shoot RAW on my Nikon DSLR's.

I have the B700 and it will convert the raw files to tif or jpg with Nikon Capture NX-D free software. I bought it for the super zoom, the ability to shoot raw, and the 4K video.

Thank you all for your input. Is seems as though I’ll have to move to a DSLR if I want both extremely long zoom and shooting raw

The Canon SX-60 does CR2 while providing 65X optical zoom.

The Nikon B700 is one of the longest lenses that shoots RAW. You would need a crop sensor with a 600mm lens and a teleconverter to approach this reach. Only a 2X converter would exceed it.

The Canon SX50 shoots raw and has 50X power. Many consider better than the later model SX60. I shot this just this morning.

Might be worth waiting for it's replacement. It'll come at some point, and I do believe there are videos on YouTube showing off its zoom. Of course we won't know it's feature set, but it's said to have an even longer zoom. I think it may be currently known as the P1000.

I have both the SX60 and the B700 and both shoot RAW. Both are fine cameras.

Once again, people giving "answers" to a question the OP never asked...

The OP is SPECIFICALLY looking to replace their P900 for a camera with RAW. Why suggest anything that does not meet the OP's SPECIFIC reason for changing camera's?
