Had the opportunity to join my local Audubon group for a birding outing in Central Park. Wow! Can Chris Cooper lead a group! He listens as well as sees. Extraordinary! Anyway, I was trying to use my SX50 and caught a lot of leaves but it was still fun. Our group saw 15 different warblers! Still trying to figure out my gear. Glad I wasn't carrying the 18-400 all day. I would not have made it. I need my binocs on one side and my camera on the other. Enjoy! Comments, especially regarding composition, are very welcome.

A great set of images, and I especially like the first one with the park area and the set of steps.

Very nice! I used to joint the bird watch group in Central Park NY on week ends while I was living in Queens NY before moving to CT after my retirement.

Thanks for the opinion. I'm glad I slid the steps over to include more of the beautiful tulips.

Thanks for looking. What a fun day. This was a first for me. The park was packed with birders and everyone else. It was such a beautiful day.

If you haven't seen this already it is a great documentary on the
Central Park Effect. I'm not a birder but found this movie very
interesting:

You got it! A first for me and he was only about 10 or less feet away, just doing his thing.

Thanks for the link! I'll definitely look at it. The guy who led our group is in the documentary. He is a wonder. Loved every minute of it.
