Almost ANY SD Card reader will work just fine with your D3300 cards. If your computer has USB 3 ports then use a USB 3 compatible reader for best results.

Hi there can anyone recommend a suitable card reader for my Nikon d3300 ?

Hi, I use a Lexar card reader and it works fine. I have used it a whole lot in the past 5 years and have had no problems. There are many good readers. As another poster said match proper ports. USB 3 is faster then 2 and the computers with it will grow as the accessories expand. I had 3 or 4 USB3 ports installed on my computer when I had it serviced last time.
