They are worthy of being in a competition...good luck.
Thanks Marty, I decided to substitute another image for the tulip. Pretty wild choice, so it will be interesting to see how it's received. Fingers crossed!
I like number one the best due to composition and color. It's really nice. The yellow flower seems to be soft focus and this is a problem I frequently have and I haven't figured how to solve it. Do any of you have any advice on this score?
Thanks Bert, I tend to agree with you. The first and last were taken recently with my Nikon D850. The tulip was taken a dozen years ago with a Canon SX 20. There's no contest! I decided, based partly on your comment, to dump the tulip and substitute the wild orchid that I totally transformed in PS, just for fun. It's posted elsewhere in this thread ("Send In the Clowns"), so you can check it out. Stay tuned.
Thanks Mike, the consensus of opinion seemed to be that the tulip was of little merit, so I substituted a highly processed and whimsical image I call "Send In the Clowns" instead. Wednesday night will be interesting.
Thanks Bill, I decided to substitute another flower that I processed very heavily (I posted it in this thread) for the tulip. I'm definitely pushing the envelope with these three images. I'll learn a lot about my camera club this month...LOL.
My camera club assignment this month is "Botanical." Topics tend to be broad ranging and open to all types of interpretation. These are my three submissions. Before I submit them, any comments?
a beautiful set, bill. the first one is so lovely...great download and color...love the lighting and dark background. the last one is pretty too...love what you did with it.

A friend of mine jokingly says he’s a lousy photographer and only uses PP because his pictures are so bad. The last one is a good example of turning vinegar into wine. Thanks for commenting.
