My camera club assignment this month is "Botanical." Topics tend to be broad ranging and open to all types of interpretation. These are my three submissions. Before I submit them, any comments?

Thanks for voting. When I upload images to UHH I like to wait awhile and then look at it again in the download as I think other members might view it.

The first one was my first attempt at using Focus Stacking in the Nikon D850 and Photoshop. Needless to say I was thrilled with the results, so I'm partial to that image myself.

The second one is a picture I took some time ago at Bouchard Gardens using a Canon SX 20. After a lot of input from this group, I reworked the image to what you see here.

When I came back to look at the third one objectively, I realized I didn't like the yellowing/browning edge of one of the leaves, so I just reworked it in PS. I think I like it best now, but it's pretty artsy, so who knows what a judge will say. It should be interesting. The judging is next Wednesday.

Stay tuned, and thanks again for your input.

For impact, #1 and your rework of #3 are the ones that really pop. Both are striking and very dramatic!

The third photo, with the ribbon backing, is quite interesting and good. The others are good also, but I prefer no. 3.

I like number one the best due to composition and color. It's really nice. The yellow flower seems to be soft focus and this is a problem I frequently have and I haven't figured how to solve it. Do any of you have any advice on this score?

Splendid array of photos and if I were judging you would win a prize.

Thanks Carol. It doesn't seem like the tulip is getting a lot of support, so I've decided to take a flyer. The attached image is heavily processed in PS. The idea was to create a piece of art from an otherwise throw-away picture. I didn't try to correct the picture, I tried to change it entirely. I call it "Send In The Clouds." I love this image, but I don't have a clue what the judges will think. In any event, I'm gonna throw it out there instead of the tulip and find out.
