Well, my GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) is officially over! I have now rounded out my lenses with this Fearsome Foursome to complement the Nikon D850. Now all I need to do is practice, practice, practice, practice.

Enjoy yourself. I would need a Sherpa .

Beautiful set of lenses! I'm sure you'll do them justice.

I think those four lenses would be enough for me...Enjoy them and your camera.

Have them, but he needs a wide angle lens to be able to capture landscape photos to round things out.

Wow, nice stuff. That is the thing buying new today, expensive! Your four lenses and camera body likely cost more than my 32 lenses and 7 bodies (4 DSLRs & 3 SLRs) that have been purchased since 1978 to 2017. I have patient GAS.

(theme music from Jaws playing in background)...it's not over until it's over!
Nice set of lenses to start, though.

That will hold you for 6 months or so. After that you will NEED to buy an updated computer, larger (or second) monitor, more accessories, a bag to hold it all, and a couple years down the line the successor to the D850.

Until you realise that changing lenses (and missing shots in doing so) is a pain in the bum; and that you really need (not want - big difference if you are trying to convince your partner) a second camera body. I nearly always cart two around: and have done so for many years.

Have you a general plan for use or have you also purchased a pack mule?

Boom.
With a double BR strap to hold them both.
Until my disc's bulge and burst, cart around the bag with 5 lenses and almost always have 2 bodies on me ready to go...
...look like a photojournalist at an NFL post game on-field scrum.

You have had "The end of gas" three times already! Your slogan might be a good line for Alka-Seltzer but it isn't going to work for you. Why limit yourself and your photography pursuing a philosophy you can not stick with? Your attitude towards practice will be valuable for you, and will lead to "experience." Experience leads to confidence, and that leads to experimentation, and now you want another new lens.............GAS is over? NOT for YOU! On the positive side, you are hooked on quality and there are worse things in life to fear. Consider a new philosophy of "Limited Gas" and be comfortable with it. As the man once said "Gas isn't about what you need, it's about what you WANT!" "The end of gas" sounds like a political slogan, and doesn't work there either. Cheers!

You have a great camera, a D850, along with some great glass. The fearsome foursome as you call it. As a Nikon DX camera owner, I've decided that two more lenses will be my absolute Gear acquisition. A Tamron 18-400mm, and a zoom wide angle lens. Once I get those two lenses, I'll be forever done buying camera gear? No more GAS for me.
