I am usin' Elements 9 with some plugins, but I would have to learn a lot I know, but I know there is a lot more I could do, I will most likely bite the bullet and get it while they have the promo
What else is there to do on a cold winter night? lol!!!
yep but Texas doesn't get snow bound and freezin' cold..lol
and that is why I am gonna stay in Tx..it is hot but for me a LOT better than freezin' cold and snow bound...I like snow..in pictures and on calendars..
that where the snow belongs in our imagination!!
What kind of deal can you get with the student discount? Since it is such a good price, that's what makes me think I need to jump on it. I just don't know if it's worth it with my actions being PSE 9 compatible...still haven't checked into if they would transfer or not.
I used Elements for a few years, then changed to Photoshop CS5 after I took a photography class at the local college. Yes, there's a learning curve, but since I've learned to shoot RAW format and take full advantage of Adobe Camera Raw, my photos are much better. Elements is only for 8-bit photos while PS will also do 16-bit. Adobe.com is very liberal in applying the educational discount - I'm only a part-time student. I bought Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 (PS, Indesign, Illustrator, & Acrobat X Pro) for $299.
I also shoot in raw, but haven't been able to compare apples to apples when it comes to 8-bit and 16-bit----it it pretty noticeable?
