Try Ft. Desoto, you will have the sunshine skyway bridge and Ft. Desoto is kind of neat

Naples is a great place for wildlife photography if you are willing to drive a little bit. If you google these places you can get more info: Corkscrew Swamp Preserve, Shark Valley National, Ding Ding Darling Preserve. Cape Coral is know for burrowing owls and off of 41 in the evergaldes you will see the loop road which is about a 30 mile journey on an elevated road through the swap. Good luck!

I just got back from there and it was wonderful. I'd recommend -
Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary - walking tour. Great wildlife in the lakes area. All kinds - spoonbills, egrets, alligators, curlews, herons
JN Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge (in Sanibel) - did this by bike although you can drive. Alligators, storks, egrets.
Fakahatchee in Everglades City (Eco Adventures) - did this on a kayak. Found nesting egrets and bald eagle.
Unfortunately its not the best time to be there as lots of birds, like the Peilcans, have gone to Minnesota I'm told. They should have stayed longer.

Greetings, taking a well earned vacation from this cold/wet east coast weather. Any suggestion for landscape photography locations in SW Florida? Ideally, early morning and sunset locations. I am familiar with the beaches. Thanks in advance!
Gear: Sony A77m2 with 16.50 f2.8- No tripod on this trip.

Freedom Park and EaglesLake Park in Naples are good places. CWW, Baby Burrowing Owls on Marco right now. Just drive almost any street and look for roped off areas on vacant lots. I think you can download a map of the nests. Just google in Map of Burrowing Owls, Marco Island .Fl. Tiger Tail Estuary is good also on Marco. Of course the Everglades and Big Cypress Swamp are a short ride from Naples. Lots to see in the area. Have fun

Go to Blind Pass (bridge between Sanibel and Captiva). Park and wait. You will not be disappointed.
