Thanks for looking, Jim and for most of the time eight were walking or swimming close to the blind but it's on the edge of the water facing south so difficult from that position to take a well-lighted shot, and the slightest noise and they depart!

Thanks, Greg and we made it through ok, with things just blown around a bit, and when feeding the birds at dawn very little wind, but just had a big blow and now fairly calm again, and hope that you guys came out ok; also, many thanks for the kind words and smiley faces!

Thank, Angela, and many times while the hen is in the nest box the male will stay quite a distance away and will make warning calls to the female before he flies, and then many times in a few minutes, you will hear scuffling noises coming from the nest box and she will fly out!... I'm concerned about the weather coming your way and hope it's not as bad as forecast. We've had several tornados in Virginia, with one casualty. Thanks again and take care!

Very interesting, Corky.... did you supply the nesting box??? ...but what an experience to watch them!!
Lot's of rain and wind here, but no chance of flooding by me.... you take care and be safe, especially with tornados!!!

I built a duplex about 25 years ago, Angela and is showing it's age and need to make some repairs before the ducks complain to New Kent County and they condemn it!
