Very sorry for your loss. Pets give you unconditional love. I wish they knew how much more they do for us then we do for them.

They settle our nerves when we're upset, they lay awake to protect us when we sleep, they cuddle us when we're sick to make us warm and better, they distract us when we need a break and don't realize it, they welcome us home every time we leave, even if just for a minute, they will tell you if your leftovers are bad, they will clean you if you are dirty, they will hug and kiss you if you are sad. Any one care to add to this list? Be my guest.

Having pets has been an extrordinary delightful experience over the years, but it keeps getting harder to say goodbye with the passing of each one. My friend, Pantera, just moved on to the great hiking trail in the sky and he'll be truly missed.

Thinking on this helps me.

I know how hard it must be to say goodbye to an old friend. Two years ago our family lost a three year old little boy, Sawyer, in a freak farm accident. I could not help but think of Sawyer when I saw this picture because we have a very similar picture of him in a mud puddle. Maybe the two of them will meet up in a mud puddle in heaven.

Am so sorry for your loss. Am sure Pantera is enjoying his heavenly hikes and will be there waiting for all his friends. Great picture of Pantera enjoying cooling himself off.
