Having pets has been an extrordinary delightful experience over the years, but it keeps getting harder to say goodbye with the passing of each one. My friend, Pantera, just moved on to the great hiking trail in the sky and he'll be truly missed.
For some reason, Pantera loved mud puddles...the dirtier, the better.

He'll be waiting for you on the other side.

Oh boy, this really tugged at my heart. Over the years we had 3 Bouviers, our last one, Griffin loved to wade in the shallows or our nearby creek and mud was never his concern either. He has been gone 2 years plus but I still see him in many locations in my daily travels. He did so much to enrich our lives. I'll miss him until it is my time to join him. I hope I get a great huge wack from his awesome tail.
Thank you for sharing.

So sorry for your loss. I still miss mine from leaving us 5 yrs ago. I feel his presence every now and then as if he's just lying there next to me.
It is hardest to say goodbye to a true friend. My sympathy to you.
I'm so sorry for your loss. It's hard to lose them, but it's also hard to live without one jumping around you and giving us unconditionally love ...💔

I am sorry for your loss. Undoubtedly you have many precious memories of him, but even so, it's so difficult.
that has to be almost as hard as losing a human friend. I'm going thru this now. my Lab is 10 years old and last month we found out he need insulin twice per day and has severe arthritis in his hips. has trouble going up 4 steps. I know the vet is going to suggest putting him down. I'm retired and he is with me 24-7. I don't want him to suffer, but I just can't seem to let go. just typing this has my eyes filled with tears.
We've lost two brothers since Thanksgiving. They had a good 15 1/2 years. Now we're afraid a 12 year old may have cancer. Yes, it's hard. But the memories are so fond.
I also lost one furry kid a month ago, and just got a call from the vet that his ashes are back. He was almost 17 years old, was wearing diapers, arthritis on his spine, back legs very weak. I hold on until I saw the signs that he was ready, he stopped eating and looked as he was in severe pain even with the meds. It's very hard to let go but we will meet again.... 🙂

Soooo sorry for your loss, I'll bet Pantera had a good and fun live!
Our Springer Spaniel had to leave us in December. Bone cancer took its toll. She has been sorely missed. But, today we are going to a breeder to meet the parents of a litter expected the first week of May. It iis the first time in 39 years we have been without a dog for this long. We still miss our dear ones departed but look forward to the renewal of a relationship with a new friend. Hopefully you will find a new companion somewhere down the road.
