Well now that I'm retired. I took up this great hobby of Photography. Thought about quitting smoking for 56 years but never succeeded. Well my eyes are open to the wonder of Mother Nature and it's great to have the ability to enjoy it. The money saved on my old habit will go to good use buying camera gear and attending classes on Photography. I'll be asking some real amateur questions about which lens is good for a beginner who like landscape pictures.
Got to get down to that lighthouse!
Polarizer lens for sky and water. Enriches the sky.

Thank you all for the helpful links and aid in getting things posted. I'm sure as the weather warms and the Eagles return next month on the CT River, I'll have plenty to shoot as I learn.
Thank You All Again.

I do not recommend the way I quit smoking (48 years ago).
I smoked a pipe. I rode a motorcycle. I spent 6 weeks in traction after breaking my hip on the bike and the hot ashes kept dropping on my chest.
Not a recommended method, but it worked.
That is a very hard way to stop smoking. I'm still getting up for my morning coffee at 4:00 am and planing my photo shoot according to the weather doing good so far enjoying the cool weather and the shoreline. Stay safe and healthy
I'm proud of you and everybody else who kick that habit. For thirty-five years I smoked two and a half packs of Marlboro Reds a day! I knew I was getting married soon and I didn't want to leave my new bride a widow at an early age. That was twenty-two years ago and I haven't had a cigarette since. With the price of cigarettes these days I couldn't afford it.
Thank You All for the Support and encouraging words. Even my doctor was surprised when I said I was going to quite my wife quite 27years ago and she's the main reason I got to beat this habit so we can enjoy retirement together, married 48 years.
