Very nice images. My heart leans toward the two E-Type Jaguars (last two images). I still have a Signal-red, '69 XKE 4.3 liter coupe in pristine shape.....which I drive several times a month. Will squeal rubber in three gears.
Thank you to everyone for your comments.
I have to agree with Enzo Ferrari when he conceded that the E-Type was the most beautiful car ever designed. It ended up in the Museum of Modern Art.
i shoot birds with a old 800mm , so in manual mode in sunny day around 9 am , i start at iso 500 , 1/1000 sec . f11 .then using the histogram to do small adjustment .[ A mode on the D300 is no longer reliable ] .

I would like to put in an offer on the first one. The red beauty. Nice one.

These photos were all taken last Saturday with a Nikon Df and Tamron 35mm f/1.8 lens. They were all developed from raw with Capture One Pro 11.
No exposure was metered in the camera. The exposure values were determined by estimation starting from the Sunny 16 rule for full sun.
All at ISO 400.
Why were you taking pictures of my vehicles? Yeah right. I wish. Jay Leno would be drooling over those.

Excellent photos and examples of technique. I'm jealous that I didn't get to go!

Thank you.
It's always a great show and worth the effort. It's usually the second Sunday in March but the last two were moved from Sunday to Saturday because of rain.

There's a similar show here each Father's Day (sometimes takes that long for the snow to melt) at Stan Hywet Hall in Akron. Always a fun time.
I'm newer than new but read this site to pickup some valuable info..so don't laugh, but what is the magical "sunny 16" rule?

We sometimes forget that Sunny 16 may not be common knowledge.
Sunny 16 is the rule that, in broad daylight, you can achieve a correct exposure at f/16 with a shutter speed of 1/ISO sec. Match the ISO and shutter speed and get the same exposure. Of course, you can also vary the aperture so at f/11 the shutter speed would be 1/(2xISO), etc.
This works out to an EV (see
Exposure Value) of 14.67. EV 15 is a tiny bit safer for digital.
Thanks I'll try to let that sink in!

Be patient with yourself. It took me some time to appreciate the logic.
