Why are you being such as ass about this? Of course I was reiterating the several stories that are out about this.

That's the point. With news media (regardless of who) sensationalizing stories, how do you know what is actually true? Think about it, how many "feel good" stories do you see compared to negative stories? Negative stories sell & the media isn't against adding to them... By blindly believing them, you have fallen into their trap . Tell me, do you believe every gear review you might read?

Jerry you are the most sensible person in these forums.
What is happening is the tabloid mentality of our news organizations.
A neighbor kids me about reading the NYTimes and said it is about time to get
Tough with North Korea. And if it is nuclear so be it. I asked him if he ever heard of a book “Fate of the Earth”. And I asked him old his daughter is. I finished with she will probably die within 2 years as will my 5 grandchildren of radiation sickness.
Why did none of the media explain this to the people. In headlines. No puppies.
Reading is so valuable to our sanity. Stay peaceful.
Time mag did very well a short time ago.

Now I'm curious just what news sources you do trust.

What gets my hackles raised are the ubiquitous tweets from anybody and everybody about damned near everything. I wish everyone from the President on down would just STOP tweeting (God, I hate that word!). Social media in general has become a nine-headed hydra monster.

Quote: "It seems the flight attendant didn't know about the puppy as it was being smuggled aboard to avoid having to pay extra fees."

Something you saw, heard or read apparently made you believe this.

No necessarily, just presenting another tidbit of info on the other side of the issue which may or may not be true. As I said before, it's best to gather all facts of a case before jumping to conclusions...

The point is, there are two sides to every story, you saw one.

The flight attendant did know and was directly informed the dog was in the portable kennel.
United also just sent a family dog to Japan instead of Kansas. The dog intended for Japan wound up in Kansas.
They as of this morning news have a 75% death rate of animals in their care. The highest in the industry.

Obviously your comprehension of newscasts is not 100%.....I suggest you check on that .."75% death rate of animals
in their care...." then post a retraction and a correction in your figures !.....or maybe you can get a job with one of them
outfits who post poll results....you sound smug enough with what you blurt out !

You have to take the news with a grain of salt. It seems the flight attendant didn't know about the puppy as it was being smuggled aboard to avoid having to pay extra fees. Russia has been meddling in other countries affairs for years ( just like the USA). Lots of these headlines are simply sensationalized by whatever source first reports them in order to get better sales/ratings/clicks and other sources just run with the story without checking it.

The so-called "news" media IS OUR enemy. They don't report the news, they try to make the news fit their purposes. They "make the news". They are even lower than the politicians..

Sorry, those headlines aren't that bad. You see worse every other day.
