I think almost everybody knows Chicago and Illinois are part of the US. I've read of more than one survey that has found that Americans think New Mexico is part of Mexico. Not a slight on my part, just honest information. I don't know which you detest most, honest or information.

Everyone, apparently, except you.

Yet again, thom, you are the single most dishonest person on this board! Don’t twist this, dude.......you just fucked up. Man up!

Your smug, petty little progressive mind posted “It's a big world and you are in a tiny state that many Americans don't even realize is part of this country. How are you supposed to see or hear more than a tiny piece of it.”

It was, as advertised, a stupid assed comment that was your juvenile attempt to be dismissive but only served to highlight your obtuse mind and undeservedly smug attitude. First, you were wrong on the facts, and second, your ongoing dumb assed comments on information and it’s availability ensure your ongoing reputation as being just plain stupid.

That’s a failure of public school systems. And little minds like yours.

Phew, calm down. As far as I can tell, no one called you and asshole, or jerk.

He has.....many times, geo. I decided to pre-empt him giving his attempt to hi jack my discussion by diverting a conversation on the NYT to Breitbart.

It's a failure of my mind to report findings of a survey? You'll have to explain that.

Show me where I claimed genius. If I wanted to say I was genius that's what I would have said. My words were "short of genius". How can you take that to mean anything other than less than genius? I'm guessing you read "sort of genius" which I never said. Talking with you I could get to thinking I'm a genius, but I know better.

Really???? A survey that shows Americans (implies many, maybe all) don’t know?

Show it to us. I do know NM magazine runs Anecdotal stories every month, but I seriously doubt you have access to a legitimate poll that shows a large, measurable portion of Americans don’t know it!

Interesting that people with a lot of exposure to life are (according to you at least) overwhelmingly liberal. I'm pretty sure there is a lesson to be learned there. I'm also pretty sure you won't get it.

Are you going to deny that the main stream media has a liberal bias? I grew up reading the NY Times. I read the Times almost every day for over 70 years, did you? I lived and worked in the City for those 70+ years. Did you? I am a whole lot more familliar with the Times than you. Are you denying that the Times has a liberal bias? If you are think of this. An executive of the Times said after Nixon was elecyted president-- "I don't understand how Nixon could have won. I don't know a single person who v**ed for him"

Main stream bias is not nearly as much a hindrance as those who invariably dismiss those views because of their own bias. It is up to us to evaluate several sources and formulate an informed opinion.

Going back a ways aren’t you? I guess wingers really don’t get over anything. I’m guessing reporters see a lot more of life than many of us, so why wouldn’t they be more liberal than you are? You probably believe that people with an education are all liberal. If you can’t see the lesson there I don’t know how to help you.
If you are talking about ‘68, Nixon didn’t win that as much as the Democrats threw it away at the convention with Daley’s goons breaking heads.
