Them hot waitress dreams are the best of the best, so roll over and dream what comes after the waffles and eggs.

This one says 5MP, might be a bit better than the 3MP ones I saw 10-12 years ago. Can’t be worth what they’re asking, though.

I dreamed I was in a diner and a hot little waitress was serving up waffles and eggs - couldn’t sleep after that.

Back in my long-ago university days, I began my photographic journey. For the Photography 101 class I took, I was issued a Yashica-D TLR. It required a fair amount of acclimation, but I did like the large negatives. That lessened the issue with grain - yesteryear's version of noise. Lotsa good memories of my time with that Yashica, but next class, I was issued a 35mm SLR, and I've never looked back. Can't recall the make of that 35mm, but it was VERY basic. It had a match-needle light metering system, but all else was manual. That system DID provide me with a solid background in the basics of photography.

I always felt that TLRs were the unrecognized ideal camera for medium format film photgraphy. They are quiet and vibration free. Parallax does not really become a significant issue unless you are shooting close up. I love my Mamiya C-330s and Yashicamat 124G. I dislike medium format SLRs, since the noise and vibration far exceeds those from 35mm SLRs. I agree that with mirrorless technology, there would not be much point in making a digital TLR, other than for nostalgia purposes. I can even flip out the viewfinder on the EVF on my Olympus Pen digital to view downwards.

Adm, I don't know if you have a Paramender for your C330s. They correct for parallax and make macro photos fairly simple. If I remember correctly, they also have an indicator for how much more exposure is needed to compensate for the bellows extension.

Thanks. I have two paramenders, the old and the new versions. I do not use them a lot but it is good to know they are there when I do need them.

In my camera collection is a like new Yashica Mat 124G and a well used Mamiya C330. Both are good cameras and make good pix.

Hi. Just for your interest. I still have (in a box) a Yashica camera (dual) inasmuch that I used to use both 120 (6x6) film AND with the adaptor kit 35mm film. I agree it was a big clumsy and clunky but I had great fun with it. Must dig it out one day and have another go. Cheers from Perth, Scotland

Back in the days of film one of the best cameras I ever owned was a Yashica A twin lens reflex. Has any manufacturer ever produced a digital similarity?

No! There isn't good reason to make them. If you want to TLR because it's has medium format film then they do make digital with medium format sensor. These are either SLR or Mirrorless. If you want the TLR because of the way it handles then there is none. SLR or Mirrorless provide better viewing and handling characteristic.
