Back in the days of film one of the best cameras I ever owned was a Yashica A twin lens reflex. Has any manufacturer ever produced a digital similarity?

What are you thinking the advantage might be?

Not a snark....just wondering. It would seem that the EVF is effectively performing the function of the viewing lens on a TLR

I had that camera, my first 120, plus a few Rolliflex TLR that were gifted to me. Sorry, but I couldn't stand those cameras! So clunky to use, don't "see" in square... Rolliflex jammed, so I threw it out.

Puzzled.
Why would they want to?

Nope. That's a 3 megapixel mini version with horrible reviews. You can get the real deal on eBay for 100 bucks.

BTW, why are you west coast people up so early? My excuse is three dogs that can't read their watches. What's yours?

I used to own a Rolleiflex with a Tessar f3.5 lens. Very well built camera with an excellent optic. Major drawback was the lack of interchangeable lenses.
Then Mamiya decided to change things and it was an instant success.

I had a Mamiya C220 for years, and loved it. But I really would not see the advantage to a digital version.

A somewhat better option is:

But as OddJobber pointed out, just get the real deal. That is what I did a few years ago, and have not regretted it. Along with a digital pocket camera as backup, I take my Yashica Mat and a dozen rolls of film with me on all overseas trips.

This one says 5MP, might be a bit better than the 3MP ones I saw 10-12 years ago. Can’t be worth what they’re asking, though.

I dreamed I was in a diner and a hot little waitress was serving up waffles and eggs - couldn’t sleep after that.

No thanks - my “real deal” is a Rolleiflex with a 75 f/3.5 Planar, but I much prefer 6 x 7 or 6 x 9 and haven’t used it much.

As I've had the opportunity to handle both, I must say they are practically the same camera. Nearly identical design and feel; the difference is mostly in the name. Both are the real deal.

Grew up on a farm and have always been an early riser. Can’t break the habit. Maybe after I retire.....?

I used to use my mother's Yashica 50+ years ago. It used to take some mental gymnastics to direct my younger siblings with them upside down in the view-finder. Good times.

SLRs gave better views and as a good product. 120 film was more difficult to load and expensive to process. TLR were just replaced by something better.

Yes, the Nikon D850.
