I'm guessing you went down this road to get that shot?

I wouldn't be too quick to jump to that conclusion.
I hope that you who've commented and any others that may will accept this blanket 'Thank You for looking.' I really mean it. Nevertheless, being somewhat new-ish here on UHH, I'm still sifting through what is acceptable and what is not, statement and comment-wise, and trying to accede to the norms. Its difficult, sometimes, because I really want to describe the 'why' behind some of what I post, but since that doesn't include the always acceptable camera/lens/tech stuff, I expect that what I would and do consider most salient would be written off as extraneous. That said, the friend I went to visit had died some 5 years ago. I met him thirty years ago, pretty much where I stood while taking the first shot in my post. He taught me how to pronounce 'rock with wings' in Navajo, and he also taught me how to pronounce lines of the Navajo Blessingway Prayer. The photographs of mine that I like best have a personal and emotional content that I know nobody else will ever see. And that's alright.
Outstanding. You have a talent for composition.

Correction on my response. Sometimes the keys don't type what I tell them. LOL Your images are stunning and I'll be looking for more of your work, Cany.

I think you are wrong. The personal and emotional content does come through. We may never feel it like you do, but it is there. Thank you for the insight.
