I too use and love the Op/Tech straps. There are lots of ways you can configure them and they are comfortable as well as reasonably priced. I never use the OEM straps. It the output that is important, not the brand name.

I use the Canon straps that came with the camera. Why not, they work. They work well. They are not a safety hazard if you attach them properly.

Advertising? Geeze Louise, if someone can't see that big black things hanging off your neck, why would I worry about someone trying to steal my camera because of the strap or get uptight because the strap says the same thing the front of the camera does.

I am just not that pretentious to worry about my camera strap.

I went to Amazon for a OP/TECH strap. Surprised so many on here list it as their pick. Never heard of OP/TECH....one strap for about $15 another for about $25...can't make up my mind yet on which...but it will be bought by sunset! Thanks to all you people who took the time to answer.

Op/Tech provides a system of straps. I can interchange a wide shoulder pad for a narrow one depending on the day's mission. I can also replace the primary strap with a wrist strap if the mood suits me.

I also use Op/Tech, and like it very much.

Don't use one. I carry my camera in a holster type bag when walking around. It will hold another lens. Just can't get a comfortable grip on my camera when taking a picture. If I anticipate having a shot come up a keep my camera in my hand. Just saying you do not have to have a strap. - Dave

Agreed but I use a wrist strap for in case I get clumsy.

Have a new Canon T7I which of course came with a Canon strap. Do most just use the one that came with the camera....or buy one of their own. If so....which is a good/wide/comfortable to wear? (some are proud of their camera and love to have that name displayed)

I keep my Canon straps, they work just fine for me.

Op/Tech, easy to put on, variety of choices and among the most comfortable neck straps I've used.

I have a collection of camera straps - unopened. I use OP/TECH straps on everything, even my banjos and ukuleles. Good price, excellent quality, made in the USA, and totally interchangeable. Even their instrument straps are interchangeable with their camera equipment.

OP/TECH USA. With the quick disconnect, I can switch the neck strap section between cameras.

I put Canon straps on my Nikons as theft deterrents.

I shouldn't laugh because I have a Canon - but I did anyway. 😊
